Trusting Your Psychic Intuition: The Colour of you.

Have you ever had a feeling about someone before they said a word?

Perhaps you have thought about a person moments before they called, walked into a room and immediately sensed that something had changed, or simply known that you should — or shouldn’t — do something without being able to explain why.

This is intuition.

And the beautiful thing is, we all have it.

We are all intuitive. We are all psychic.

For some people, this awareness may feel very strong and natural. For others, it may be something they have noticed only occasionally, perhaps dismissing those little nudges as coincidence or imagination.

But intuition is something we can learn to recognise, trust and develop.

Psychic Intuition: Your First Port of Call

When we talk about psychic development, it can sometimes sound mysterious or something reserved for mediums, psychics or people who have always considered themselves spiritually gifted.

But psychic awareness begins much closer to home.

It begins with you.

Your own intuition is your first port of call.

Before looking outside yourself for answers, learning to become still enough to listen to what you already know can be incredibly powerful.

Your intuition might arrive as a feeling in your body, a thought that suddenly appears, an image in your mind, a word, a colour, a dream or simply a quiet sense of knowing.

The more attention you give these subtle impressions, the easier they can become to recognise.

Every Medium Is Psychic

One of the things I often teach is that every medium is psychic — but not every psychic is a medium.

Psychic awareness is about tuning into information, energy, feelings and impressions around yourself and another person.

Mediumship takes this awareness further, working with the energy and consciousness of those who have passed.

But psychic awareness is the foundation.

It is where we begin.

Learning to recognise your own psychic impressions gives you the opportunity to understand how you receive information. There is no single way to be intuitive. One person may see images, another may hear words, someone else may feel sensations within their body, while another may simply know.

Your intuition has its own language.

The journey is learning how to listen.

The Intuitive Language of Colour

Colour can be a wonderful and accessible way of exploring psychic development.

We are surrounded by colour every day, yet we rarely stop to consider what particular colours mean to us.

When developing your intuition, you can begin to use colour as a way of noticing your immediate responses.

Imagine sitting quietly and allowing a colour to come to mind.

Don't analyse it.

Don't immediately look up what that colour is supposed to mean.

Instead, ask yourself:

What does this colour feel like to me?

What emotions does it bring forward?

Where do you feel it in your body?

Does it remind you of a person, place or experience?

Does another colour suddenly appear?

This is where intuitive development becomes personal.

There may be traditional associations with different colours, but your own intuitive response is just as important. Your subconscious and intuitive awareness may communicate with you through colours in ways that are unique to you.

Perhaps blue feels calming. Perhaps red feels energising. Maybe yellow brings forward a person or a memory. You might see a colour repeatedly when thinking about a particular situation.

Rather than dismissing these impressions, become curious about them.

Give Yourself Time and Space to Sit

One of the simplest ways to develop your intuition is also one of the most overlooked:

Stop. Sit. Listen.

We live in a world that constantly demands our attention. Phones, messages, work, family, social media and everyday responsibilities can leave very little space for quiet awareness.

Yet intuition often speaks softly.

It doesn't always compete with the noise.

Giving yourself even ten minutes a day to sit quietly can begin to change your relationship with your intuition.

You don't need anything complicated.

Find somewhere comfortable. Put your phone away. Take a few breaths. Close your eyes if that feels comfortable and simply notice.

What comes into your awareness?

A colour?

A feeling?

A thought?

An image?

A name?

A sensation?

Don't try to force anything to happen.

Allow.

The aim isn't to prove that you are psychic. The aim is to become more aware of yourself and the subtle information you may already be receiving.

Bringing Intuition Into Everyday Life

Psychic development isn't something that has to happen only during a meditation or spiritual practice.

Your intuition can become part of everyday living.

You can listen to it when making decisions.

You can notice how you feel when you walk into a new environment.

You can pay attention to the first impression you receive when meeting someone.

You can become aware of which colours you are naturally drawn towards and how they affect your mood.

You can notice when you suddenly think of someone — and perhaps send them a message.

You can pause before saying yes to something and ask yourself:

How does this actually feel for me?

The more you practise listening, the more familiar your own intuitive language becomes.

And perhaps most importantly, you begin to trust yourself.

Developing Your Psychic Awareness

Developing your psychic awareness doesn't mean that you suddenly need to have extraordinary experiences.

It can be much gentler than that.

It is about learning to recognise what is already there.

Through my psychic development and mediumship classes, I create a supportive space where you can explore your intuition, understand how you personally receive information, work with colour and other forms of psychic awareness, and build confidence in your own abilities.

There is no need to arrive believing that you are psychic.

You don't need to have had experiences before.

You simply need to be curious and willing to give yourself the time and space to explore.

Development is a journey.

Some days you may feel incredibly connected. Other days may feel quiet. Both are part of the process.

Trust What You Already Know

Perhaps the most important part of psychic development is learning not to immediately dismiss yourself.

That little feeling.

That sudden thought.

That colour that keeps appearing.

That moment of knowing.

Instead of saying, "I'm probably imagining it," try asking:

"What if I simply listen?"

Your intuition doesn't have to shout.

Sometimes it is the quietest voice in the room.

Give yourself permission to stop.

Give yourself permission to sit.

Give yourself permission to feel.

Give yourself permission to explore.

Because intuition isn't something that belongs only to a select few.

Everybody is intuitive. Everybody is psychic.

The journey is learning to recognise it, understand it and trust it.

And sometimes, the first step is simply becoming quiet enough to hear what your own intuition has been saying all along.

Ready to Explore Your Intuition?

If you feel drawn to developing your psychic awareness, exploring colour intuitively and understanding how your own unique psychic senses work, my classes offer a welcoming space to learn, practise and develop.

You don't have to know where to begin.

You just have to be willing to sit, listen and discover what is already within you.
